Members of
the association have the right to a voice in decisions of a
professional nature which affect them. Members have a responsibility
to seek the most effective means of consultation and collaboration
with other professionals.

Members
have the right to criticize programs and policies of agencies and
organizations offering care and treatment to children and youth and
the responsibility to do so in a professional and appropriate
manner.
|
| 3. |
|
Members
have the right to report and consult with the registrar of the
association on issues affecting the quality of care for children and
youth and the responsibility to do so in a professional manner.
|
| 4. |
|
Members
have the right to a reasonable allotment of resources, materials,
and services of relief and support staff. Members have the responsibility
to utilize these resources, materials, and services in the best
interests of their clients and in an effective manner.

| 5. |
|
Members
have the right to be protected against discrimination of the basis
of race, religion, colour, sex, physical characteristics, age,
ancestry, or place of origin and the responsibility to report any
discrimination encountered in their professional duties to the
appropriate governing body, professional association, and/or
employer.

Members
have the right: |

a) |
to be
members of the organizations representing their professional or
economic concerns |
|
b) |
to expect
other members to adhere to the organizations code of professional
conduct |
|
c) |
to be
protected under the provisions outlined in contracts of employment
with the employer |
|
d) |
to receive
an adequate income recognizing their education training and
experience |
|
e) |
the responsibility
to actively support their professional association in its efforts to
improve the quality of child care and the status of the profession
and its members.
